Dear Friends and Family, we are gathered here today in a sim that's void ... and we're gathered in this void sim in order to help recognize and celebrate something that voids all simulation through its undeniable reality.
That something is love.
In this case, the love between Seldon Metropolitan and Maeve Morgan.This is not a love like the love of pie.This is not a love like the love of high fps.This is not a love like the forums love drama.This is love between two people, and as such is beyond all monetizing, client updates, lag, and lame-ass W-hattish attempts at Total Grid Crashing.This is love, in particular, between our two wonderful friendsOne of whom is my own little brother (awwwws!) and the other of whom is the woman he was lucky (damned lucky, I'll say!) to meet and well, I was going to say "win the heart of."But inasmuch as love is a game at all --- and it's NOT, it's a goddam PLATFORM--- these two, Seldon and Maeve, have won EACH OTHER'S hearts.
And we are here to witness, virtually and metaphorically, but no less REALLY, the joining of those hearts in the bonds of SL matrimony.
